Keep Emergencies to a Minimum and Disruptions in Check with a Stronger Cell Signal
Society in general has learned to rely on cell phone reception as much as people once counted on a pay phone around every corner and having a quarter on hand for times of need. While this type of technology has eliminated a great deal of hassle and uncertainty, it also comes with its own set of downfalls. Large buildings are notorious for causing the communication systems we depend on to let us down at the worst of times.
Thousands of cell phone owners will attest to this fact. It's not uncommon to pull into the parking lot of an office building or similar structure with full cell signal only to find those bars dwindling upon entering. The further they work their way inside, the weaker that signal grows until it's gone entirely. For some, this is a mere inconvenience in planning a lunch date with a friend or discussing after-school pickup schedules; however, the issue can be detrimental.

Many businesses rely solely on internet phone connections as opposed to the land line backups once in place throughout facilities. While a staff member could have a strong, clear connection with a client behind his or her desk, a vital business call could be dropped on the way to a partner's office or the board room. In worst-case scenarios, an emergency could arise with no way for those in the immediate vicinity to call out for help. Those few minutes, or even seconds, spent roaming around trying to establish a signal could be the difference between life and death.
For buildings in areas with an otherwise steady signal, a cell phone repeater antenna could be the answer. This type of device is able to take moderate to strong signals, amplify those and distribute them to areas where a stronger connection is needed. Another solution may be a Bi-Directional Amplifier, or BDA. Operating in much the same way, this tool receives a signal from an adequately placed antenna and strengthens that signal throughout the building on which it is placed.
From clients' points of view, reliability is crucial to doing business with a company. Being unable to communicate effectively could mean a loss of business. As far as employees are concerned, a workplace should be safe and efficient. Emergencies and remaining in contact with customers and co-workers should not be issues. Fortunately, a number of systems are available to ensure both these elements remain in check.
